Born in 1973 in St. Petersburg, Florida, Ralph Brazel Jr., also known as Amin Rafiq, is a dedicated family man and community leader. He has been happily married to Aisha Zaky for ten years, and together, they are proud parents to six children.
Ralph serves as the Executive Director at the Islamic Center of Irvine (ICOI) in Southern California, where he has been an integral part of the community for the past decade. His commitment to service extends beyond ICOI, having also worked with the Tayba Foundation and Seekers Guidance.
With a deep passion for social justice, Ralph aspires to contribute as a Board member of the Timelist Group. He values the organization’s mission to provide second and third chances to individuals in need. His experience as a Board member for the Campaign for the Fair Sentencing of Youth (CFSY) and the newly established Lamps of Light, coupled with his own journey of 22 years in the federal prison system, gives him a unique perspective on the importance of support and redemption.
Ralph is eager to leverage his experiences to make a meaningful impact within the community and looks forward to the opportunity to collaborate with others who share his vision for positive change.
